There's a 3 hour course Sunday morning on a CHIP-Child Identification course that's being acitvely used in about 15 states. It's being given by the dentist from Mass, David Harte, who originated the program.

I assisted in a CHIP ID program in my town. Extremely necessary in today's society and very rewarding. I urge all dentists to offer their services. Contact the state dental association for more information.

Dentrix has sent out a lot of promotional material about discounts they're offering during the convention. Worth looking into.

I wish they would somehow be better organized in the signup process. Waiting for an hour or so to get in isw rediculous

For the past 10 years I've been taking advantage of the fact that on the last day of the convention quite a few reps will negociate down their prices just to avoid having to ship unsold material back to their warehouses. I usually walk away with at least 8 10 months of supplies saving at least 30-40%.

I'm planning on going to the Extreme Makeover lecture and learn how to do $2000 laminates.

Charge all you want. Insurance companies still won't pay for them.

The convention is much larger this year. They've moved to a bigger space. Sunday was brutal going in because of the weather but as a result, there were less attendees and you could spend more time talking with the different reps.

I agree, sunday was brutal. In some areas it was an obstacle course trying to avoid the garbage cans they set up to collect water from the leaks.

Good show. First year I got my act together and went in with the intent of buying at least 6 months worth of "hard" supplies (gloves, x-rays) and saved a bundle.
